Busy busy Bees!!

We have been extra busy the past few weeks in Room 4.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears came to visit our classroom. Our favourite childhood bears got to take part in our role-play area!! 

Daddy bear, Mammy bear and baby bear also joined us in some reading after they chased Goldilocks out of their home: 

We have also been busy learning some Irish Dancing for our Céilí - keep an eye out for our next post to see our dance moves! 

Spring is here

We have a new theme in Senior Infants that we are learning about : Houses and Homes.

We have been exploring all the different types of homes around the world that people live in. 

Our imaginations have been put to the test as we conjured up our 'Imaginary Dream Homes'.

In Science we have been learning about the materials that are used to build houses.

During Aistear we have been building our own houses for the 3 little pigs in our construction site, we think the bricks are the best materials to use! 

 We have some very efficient builders in Rm 4 !!! 

The Small World and Finger gym stations have also been very creative , have a look at some of our amazing home designs:

A Winter Wonderland

Room 4 during  December and January- what a busy place! 

We were busy being Santa's little helpers in his workshop during Aistear. We were so excited the first morning we found the workshop open . . .

Our trip to the Post box was lots of fun - we wrote letters to Santa and posted them in a big brown envelope. 

We were learning all about the Post Office in January, we loved writing letters and posting them in our classroom.  Our writing is really improving in Room 4. 

In January we looked at Winter Weather. We really enjoyed making lots of winter art , here is a look at some of the Winter Scenes we created :

WELCOME

We have been super busy in senior infants since September. There has been lots of learning going on in Room 4!!

Our letter sounds are really improving - we love going on letter hunts around the classroom!

                                   


Reading is lots of fun for us in Room 4 - we especially love DEAR time. We have been trying really hard to blend our sounds and learn our sight words!

Aistear helps us explore our learning in lots of different ways.
